About

Caroline Gilchrist, LMFT#133074

Caroline Gilchrist works from a person-centered therapy framework.  She regularly supports adults, teens, and couples, specializing in work with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, identity, self-esteem issues, attachment issues, stress management, and life transitions.  Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systems Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, and Positive Psychology, as well as other evidence-based treatment modalities.

Caroline’s therapy style is warm, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental. She strongly believes people have the internal strengths to make positive change in their lives and she strives to support her clients in identifying and growing their strengths while increasing self-understanding. Within sessions, Caroline will ask you to be honest, vulnerable, and to be willing to challenge yourself. Her role is not to give advice or answers, but to create space for you to explore yourself and develop deeper insights into what you already know. Caroline strives to create a safe place for clients that allows for self-exploration, vulnerability, and personal growth.
